Traditional air-cooling systems are increasingly reaching their performance limits in high-heat-density applications due to their relatively limited heat dissipation capabilities. In comparison, liquid cooling can provide heat transfer efficiency more than ten times higher than that of air cooling. With its superior ability to handle high heat flux and low thermal resistance, liquid cooling enables more efficient and precise heat removal. It also offers higher space utilization, helping data centers reduce energy consumption while supporting higher chip deployment densities.

For high-density electronic equipment, the reliability of a liquid cooling system is critical, as any leakage can result in significant financial losses and operational risks. FITOK's UQD Series and UQDB Series quick disconnects feature a flat-face sealing design, with fluid loss during connecting/disconnecting more than 25% below the limits specified by the specification, enabling drip-free connecting/disconnecting.The couplings incorporate a special patented ball-locking mechanism, providing a smooth connecting and disconnecting experience as well as reliable coupling performance. The required coupling force is approximately 20% lower than the specification limit. Their coupling cycle life also exceeds the specification requirements. In addition, every product is 100% helium leak tested before shipment, minimizing the risk of leakage.

In liquid cooling systems, even tiny particles, metal debris, or oil contamination can cause flow-path blockage, reduce heat dissipation efficiency, or even trigger electrochemical corrosion. To control contamination risks at the source, FITOK’s UQD Series and UQDB Series couplings are assembled and tested in cleanroom environments in accordance with semiconductor manufacturing standards. This helps prevent external contaminants from entering the system during the manufacturing process and provides customers with enhanced cleanliness assurance.

 

In thermal management applications, Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) is a key indicator of data center energy efficiency. PUE is calculated as the ratio of total data center energy consumption to IT equipment energy consumption and reflects the energy consumed by supporting systems such as cooling and power distribution. The closer the PUE is to 1.0, the lower the energy consumption of non-IT systems and the higher the overall energy efficiency. In liquid cooling systems, quick disconnect couplings with high flow capacity and low pressure drop can help reduce overall system energy consumption and improve cooling efficiency, bringing the PUE value closer to 1.0. FITOK has conducted dedicated flow simulation analyses and optimized the internal flow paths of its UQD Series and UQDB Series couplings to achieve lower flow resistance and higher flow efficiency. This not only enhances cooling system performance but also helps reduce energy consumption and operating costs.
