Hydrogen

Cope with the challenge of high pressure, low temperatures, and hydrogen embrittlement

To address global warming caused by greenhouse gas emissions, major economies worldwide are committed to achieving "carbon peak and neutrality" goals. Hydrogen, as a clean energy alternative to traditional fossil fuels, is regarded as a key technology direction for the future energy revolution and is receiving increasing attention. Hydrogen is the lightest element in the periodic table, with extremely small molecules that easily leak. It can permeate many materials, including metals. After absorbing hydrogen, metal materials experience reduced plasticity, leading to "hydrogen embrittlement." This phenomenon severely impacts material load-bearing capacity, as cracks can propagate under stresses below the material's yield strength, posing significant threats to structural safety. Additionally, hydrogen mixed with air in certain proportions is highly prone to combustion and explosion upon exposure to sparks or flames. Therefore, selecting appropriate fittings and valves for hydrogen production, storage, transportation, and usage has become one of the major challenges in hydrogen energy applications.

Since its founding, FITOK has focused on the R&D and manufacturing of precision fittings and valves, with products widely used globally in oil & gas, petrochemicals, semiconductors, and hydrogen energy sectors. In hydrogen energy, leveraging our global presence, our products are extensively applied in hydrogen production, refueling stations, and vehicle applications, establishing close collaborations with global customers across the entire hydrogen value chain and accumulating rich application experience.

Why Choose FITOK Products for Hydrogen Applications?

  • Complete Product Portfolio

We offer a full range of products including fittings, valves, filters, quick-connects, metal hoses, tubing, and custom tube bending services.

  • Strict Material Selection

316/316L SS with a nickel equivalent ≥ 28.5% ensures excellent hydrogen embrittlement resistance. FKM and EPDM O-rings offer outstanding hydrogen compatibility and low temperature resistance (-40°C).

  • Typical Standards Compliance

Products comply with international standards such as EC79 and HGV 3.1, meeting the requirements of typical working pressures of 35 MPa and 70 MPa.

  • Reliable Quality

We adopt stricter leak rate standards than EC79 and HGV3.1. Regular helium leak rate testing ensures higher product quality.

  • Quick Installation

Tube fittings enable assembly by torque, significantly improving both efficiency and consistency—making them ideal for high-volume industries with strict quantitative requirements, such as automotive applications.
